    I had decided I could live with how my 2nd gen Softopper fits my 3rd gen taco, but this deal pushes me over the edge. I'll sell my Softopper and get one that better fits my 3rd gen.

    From what Softopper told me on the phone, there is no difference between the 2nd and 3rd gen frame and canvas. Only the rear window panel is different. The rear panel for the 3rd gen is a little longer to account for the fatter tailgate.
    They had a used 3rd gen for sale and I wanted to see if it would fit my 2nd gen.

    Perhaps you could call them on Monday to clarify. You can still get a discount on accessories.

    Sounds like people are getting conflicting information. Would hate to spend money on a whole new Softopper and end up with the same thing I already have... but a different rear panel I could have gotten for $80. I'll have to give them a call and see if I can sort it out.
