Brought a dresser from my house to my fiance's house (soon to become mine too) and drove about 90 miles each way to get around $300 worth of rose bushes for her garden. I've owned my truck for right at a month and have put almost 1700 miles on it already, and that's with being out of town for work most of the last 2 weeks.

Fumoto valve.... Does anyone have a link to the right one for the 4.0? Or the drain plug thread specs for it?

Gave her a bath. Took the light bar off my roof.
Decided to pull it apart and reseal it. Found that the point of water intrusion was where the wiring entered the bar. When I pulled the lens and reflectors off, there was water dripping off the wire and in the corner of the end cap. Even with a rubber seal, it leaked. The water had caused corrosion on the inside of the lens, so I took a fine wire wheel to it then used swirl remover to clean it. Everything is now back together with RTV seal in it up.

No problem. I have an easy solution for that!

Damn, $8 is barely half of the minimum wage around here, but even at $15 an hour, you can barely get a one bedroom apartment. We own a duplex next door that has 2 two bed, two baths. We easily get $3k per unit.

Cleaned up the wiring for the compressor, me and my buddy rushed it and used *gasp* white zip ties. Redone with black for amazingness.

Modified my Slee off road ARB twin mount, so that it will allow me to run an airline to the back of the truck.

Installed the Slee mount after modification.

Ran an airline from the compressor to the rear bed box, same spot my diff breather is mounted.

Running that airline, WITHOUT cleaning the underside of the truck 1st was not the right idea. My eyes ate like 3 lbs of dirt. Even with a full face mask on. :crapstorm:

Swapped stock 3.73 gears for Motive Gear 4.10's. With 33"'s, just a tic lower gearing than stock with stock rubber. Hopefully a decent compromise when the day comes I put 35's on 'er. All checks OK. 125 mile road test! Probably 30 miles of that on dirt/gravel roads in 4wd to check front end. Low range and locker AOK!

Replaced the stock rear leafs, added a pro comp AAL this time to try, replaced the U bolts, replaced the 5100 rears with new ones, changed the rear diff fluid using 75w-90 Amsoil, changed the winters with summers, painted all the parts with black rust paint and a bunch of clear coat. Then added a bunch of fluid film to the parts to keep them from rusting

I bet some joy dishwashing liquid would do the trick, just wash the area thouroughly with it, rinse it good, then wax it really good. Joy is a degreaser, but is also great for contaminent issue, sticker residue, grease or oil thrown up on a vehicle, but its important to wax it afterwards.
