A suppressor and subsonic ammo make for pretty quiet shooting.

Good morning folks. Going to head back to the office today and finish the paperwork that pissed me off bad enough to leave. I have to get it done today as it's due tomorrow. At least it's OT, I won't be out in the heat and there shouldn't be anyone there to screw with me.

Good morning damn it is hard to keep up with this thread anymore. And I like it... Everyone have a good day, no excuses allowed! :D

I am so sorry for you and your family. I read this last night and I am the oldest and have 3 younger sisters that I am close to. If something happened to any one of them before me couldn't stand it, I just closed the browser and went to bed. My thoughts are with you and your family and the family of your brother.

Damn thought it was broke when I looked at it. Dislocated my trigger finger a couple of years ago shooting someones double trigger Spanish SxS and both barrels went off and it doubled fired. Was an EMT on the squad and he put it back in place for me, I hit the ground on my knees when he did. I finished the shoot LOL but shot like shit after that. Hope you feel better today.

Yeah it is those Damn Philly Flatlanders, just saying...
Ticks are so bad here in the Spring and Fall it is disgusting. 100% Deet and permathin my clothing. Still get on me. I've had Lyme for 15 years now and every dog I have owned has had Lyme by the time they turn 1. Not sure what the answer is. Do know when my Lyme flairs up it makes every joint in my body hurt worse than it normally does which is not good. Comes and goes.

Now your scaring me that was my first thought. Either great minds think alike or we are sick puppies.

Chippies, red squirrels and gophers are all fair game here. And all 3 have damaged the driveway among other things.
Anschutz makes the BEST 22 and air guns in the world. Used to have a full page add from them hanging on my wall when I was a kid for the Model 54. In 1964 they won 6 out of 6 gold medals in Tokyo and 68 won 5 out of 6 gold in Mexico City. Still are the best of the best even in the lower grades IMO. And still want a 54!

Wasn't long ago that couldn't even get .22 ammo. Keep them in the X ring Mike!

One of my favorite movies. Although I grew up with Crossman pump barrel M1 carbine. And has a lot of BB's bounce back in my face. I have somewhere around $600 in lenses for my shooting glasses now that I wear target shooting and hunting.

I might be known for saying there is no international incident so trivial that a small tactical nuke is not warranted. Which is likely why the Admiral tells me that there is no political future for me. I can live with that.

High of 41 today and rain. House cleaning day for me and cooking. With the smoker of course but supper will not be ready until this evening, low and slow for the win.

I really like filling the drip pan with veggies and sautéing them in the drippings and smoke.

You and I have so much in common with cooking that I am pretty sure we went to the same school together. What I am lacking here is the SW Mexican influence. I need to take a trip down where your at sometime!

It's really funny with the sw influence. It varies so much. Even the 50 mile difference between here and El Centro. They are both in the same geographical area but the taste differences and ingredients vary just enough to make a big difference. San Diego is all together different. Here is very simple, clean tastes. The marinades in san diego for carne asada and polo asada are way more complex than here. It took some adjustment when we moved here but it's cool to have a little background in both and be able to pull it off. The thing that makes the biggest difference is the mesquite wood smoke. It adds something that San Diego doesn't and can't offer because the urban sprawl there either makes it hard to get or unavailable because they've made it so inaccessible. I'm going to up my supply and have enough that's got a couple years drying time and get the bark knocked off so it's cleaner.
