    :annoyed:So I decided to try to get rid of this bad oil leak I think coming from the brass 4 way block going into the engine block for the oil sensor and oil feed and it broke in the block ez out not working:annoyed:

    Probably going to have to drill it out a bit to relieve the outward pressure. Also might give you a little more room for an ezout to bite

    IMG_5556.jpg UPDATE: cutting with a hacksaw blade in four places and punching it out work now just to get the chunks out of the block. I think we're just gonna have an oily mess while I kick it over for a secondo_O

    I would advise against doing it how you are saying. pulling the engine apart is a heafty job that this situation kind of requires..

    Did you use an NPT fitting or a BSPT fitting?

    I couldn't imagine taking the engine apart because of this the pressure going through the oil passages is 83 PSI when cold which I believe was enough to blow out the chunks of brass. I've driven it since for a pretty hard test drive and everything seemed fine.

    I believe it was NPT no leaks from there but I'm still chasing a bad oil leak.

    Well I think that port where the sensor attaches is post filter, but maybe you did get all the chunks/shavings out.

    BOV may be opening at idle? Vacuum leak?

    There should be an adjustment screw on the BOV to tighten up the spring and limit how quickly and fully it opens. Tighten it until you start hearing flutter then loosen it. If you don't have an adjustment screw, you can buy some stiffer springs or just use some shims to compress the current spring.

    But I have a feeling the issue is a vacuum leak. Most car shops can do a vacuum test; weather you are having issues or not, def recomend it.

    Jason, just did some reading. Common issue for a BOV that hasnt been tuned to open at idel/high vacuum. Just tighten down the adjustment screw for now. I recomend that you adjust it/tune it when you have a chance to make sure you're not dumping all your boost everytime you lift your foot off the gas.

    Thx for the info iv been tuning a little stiffer spring and it was working this morning but after being on the freeway for 15min the truck started stalling at stop lights

    You need to tune when the truck is warm. Higher vacuum IIRC when warm vs cold.

    Does your BOV have an adjustment screw? Should just be able to tighten that up.

    it has springs and i put a stiff one with a washer and it worked good but for some reason it acts like its stuck closed. I took it apart cleaned it put grease worked now back to same it was only $44 at Silicone intakes.com.
