Tested out the new 884's while checking on the property for the first time this year. Trails need cleaned up pretty bad. Might've had to drive over a couple downed trees that were in my way
Overall no sway bar and 884's on 5100's makes a pretty nice ride. IMG_0754.jpg

Located leak. What's up with adding leak sealer to leak detection refrigerant tho? It probably took way longer to find the leak because of the sealer.

Next step convince Firestone to evacuate the system for me so I can put in new hose.

Looks good. Is the front leveled? Can't tell.

Got tired of chasing leaks from the cap so I figured I'd make a platform to keep gear off the bed. Cutouts on the side are for gas cans.

Ah! Okay. Are you going to fasten it in a more permanent way or are tie downs there to stay?

It'd look cooler if you painted the visible parts of the wood black too.

I had that issue in my older Ranger when it had a cap. The 2" clearance from the lumber is a lot of lost space. I used hollow click together garage flooring and trimmed it to fit he bed profile with tin snips. The bed drained in every direction, so it's not like there was ever ponding water. It just needed a little void space to pass through.

It looks more or less like the factory rake.

It does got a little more lift then I expected, I kept the stock springs with the billies, maybe I'll upgrade to the OME 884's in the next few months maybe that will help bring the front back up a bit...

Don't judge until you have put some miles on them. New springs always come down a little as they break in.

Definitely, I consider this "Platform Version 2, Mod 1." Trying to figure out if I want to add the rubber matting to the bottom of the 2x4's or if I'll just paint it. Also going to think a bit more about how I want to mount it more permanently.

Definitely agree on the lost space. I'd like to eventually try and find trays that I can slide underneath but that's not much room for gear. I'm getting leaks from each forward corner - did you leave room for water to drain down the sides?
