Had a plumbing day from hell, today
Non garbage disposal side of the kitchen sink was draining slow, and the basket had lost the putty and was starting to leak. Sooooo, I take apart the down tube and p trap, gagged on the 20 years of accumulated sewage, clean out the pipes, no problem. Tried to take off the lock on the basket drain and it...wouldnt...budge. crap. Hammered the shit out of it and finally gave up (yes I was going the correct way).
So I figure I would put stuff back together and, well the p trap isn't going back on, the old p trap lock nut is cracked, so I go to the store again and get another one. Nope, turns out the last guy that worked on the kitchen put two non threaded ends together.and shoved in copious amounts of putty which was clogging the drain..crap. while I am looking at that, the filter going to the fridge gives out and starts pouring water all over, I wasn't even near it or the hoses...crap. back to the store. Old odd size tubes, can't find any fittings...screw it, couplings and clamps it is. Put everything on, taped off the one side of the sink, grabbed a beer. I will call a plumber tomorrow...crap.
