Anybody use Lucas oil additive? I used it in my last Taco (2.7). Its supposed to be good for timing chain engins. Thoughts? I just picked up my 2001 Ex. Cab 2.7, manual, 4x4, Sr5 Trd. Pretty excited about it!

Curious to see what you guys think of the product.
    BTW I use Castrol syn.

I finally changed to synthetic oil. I used Mobil 1 High Mileage 5W-30, which says good for good for vehicles with over 75K miles.

Oil additives are a joke save your money - and yes Lucas oil additives are included in this factual statement

edit to add : I have seen the famous Lucas oil with two wheeled gears sandwiched between some transparent plastic .
Looked good but was proven a false thing by the original Bob @ bobistheoilguy

how far are you going on the synthetic? Do you reset the maint req light halfway thru?? I can't make up my mind about the oil thing but the toyota tick has been a bit louder on 5w 30 castrol.

hey can anyone answer this...i just bought a 2010 taco in Oct...i have 4500 mi. on it as of today...would it be okay to switch to mobil 1 synthetic oil with this much mileage on it? and is it normal for the maintenance required light to turn on around this time prolly to remind me to do my oil change cause it just flashed a couple times.
