@phx13, NOT snowtank, so I took your recommendation to meet the lady friend at El Compo CHUY in Queen Creek before going to the Lantern Festival Saturday night...

Place was closed! Handwritten note on the front door saying they were closed for "Family Reasons". However, I used my Google-Fu and found that the Queen Creek Cafe was just a block behind Gordons so we went there. Had a really good pulled pork BBQ sandwich and the girl had some fish fry which she liked. Very down home kind of place and the waitress kept pushing their "amazing" french fries on us but we never got a chance to try them. Had a couple beers at Gordons before heading to the festival...

The Lantern Festival, for anyone who's never heard of it or has been was pretty cool. Not cheap (45 bucks with a 30% discount!) but they had some okay live music, food trucks and thankfully, a beer garden. They had to delay lighting the actual lanterns for a while because the wind wouldn't die down but when they did... Holy shit, not to sound too dorky and mushy but it was a fairly "magical" experience to see several thousand 2' tall paper lanterns being carried up into the night sky all lit up. Very kid friendly environment and there were fire ring/pits ever 30-50 feet and part of the lantern fest "kit" had the fixin's for s'mores. I'll go back next year for sure, with or without a lady friend!

After that we were going to go to the Olive Mill but it was close to 10 and apparently it closes on the weekends kinda early.

No worries though since we ended up going back to Gordons which was in full honkey tonk swing! I'm not a big country fan but it was fun nonetheless.
Played some pool, drank a bunch of Miller Lite with the gal and had a good time. It was 1 by the time we left and although there was no safety meeting back at my place with a side of 69, we definitely had a proper and quite intimate "goodnight" in the parking lot.

Going to meet up with said gal again Thursday for the Guardians of the Galaxy premier at the Alamo Drafthouse.
It's early yet but she has potential, I'm thinking.

So I want to thank you again phx13, NOT snowtank for the help with the itinerary out in Queen Creek. I owe you a beer or 4, buddy.
(pics of the lantern fest forthcoming later today after I take my kiddos to school)

I never shopped there while cliff was there, but it was always a fight for simple things. CO2 fills were never done on time, argued with somebody there about the existence of a tire size that's listed on their website trying to get a quote. Got completely brushed off to revalve and add CDCs to a set of shocks.

When it came time to spend real money on the truck their shop wasn't on my list. I don't care where others shop although sounds like some are treated well. Just wanted to commiserate with a few others in this thread. They do have some cool products and a full fab turn-key shop on the east side would be convenient.

    TL;DR of my saturday:
Snowtank, I mean phx13 hooked me up with solid date recommendations, had fun at lantern fest in queen creek and my date was good especially since she didn't turn out to be a hairy biker dude just released from prison.

Its the 5sp. Going to take it to CBT and have it serviced as Lexus is retarded with their pricing. We'll go from there. Just hoping to have an idea before going in.
