Hit 60k today. Need to finish the 60k service with new diff, tranny and transfer case fluids. Hopefully this Sunday I can get to it.

Much better than stock, but the all-pros are a little bouncy

I might go the same route but keep my stock leafs. Looking to soften the ride since bay area roads are shot to shit

Took my truck out for a small wheeling and camping trip this weekend and it became apparent to me how important recovery gear is! Lol

I was wheeling around in veery shallow water heading toward a little hillclimb back out to the main fire road when my front end dropped pretty deep. I stopped, put my locker on and reversed back and my back tires just sank deep in the mud. It went from light wheeling to completely stuck in seconds. I had 1 tow strap that was just long enough to give me a pull from the rear but not the front. My buddies ford was just spinning his wheels as was I. Lucky a guy down the way had a longer strap and pulled me out from the front.

What I learned. Bring recovery gear. I need more recovery points(new bumpers!). A winch would have so nice. Stay the hell out of water.

The truck will need to dry off for a few days. I took water on from the driver door. This is my act like your not completely fucked face to keep up moral!

Pulled the starter last night and replaced the contacts, wasn't too hard of a job. Took about an hour or so. Truck was lagging to start, I'd turn the key and hold it and it would about 5 seconds to start turning over. Now it fires right up and only cost 25 for the rebuild kit. IMG_6165.jpgIMG_6169.jpg

Other things I need to do:
-Front diff and t case fluid
    -tighten my alternator belt
-get a hitch(hopefully getting access to a boat soon, and I need the recovery point)
    -clean the interior really well.

Crawled under my truck yesterday when I got home from camping, needed to tighten my alternator belt because it was squealing when I started the truck. I also re greased the UCA because those damn poly bushing start squeaking so loud if you dont grease them every couple of weeks. Such a PITA.

IMG_6248.jpg Well picked this up this weekend. All Pro Apex. Now I need to get to making some skids, get 4" fog lights and obtaining a winch.
