Had fun with everybody that came out yesterday! Spent more time helping others it seems, but always glad to help. Not many pics either, but oh well, ready for next weekend!!

We all had a good time i think. No major damage from anyone that I remember. *cough* @Suprajim54 wheel cap *cough*
We did manage to pull a GMC Sierra out a couple of times. Kept making comments about how he cant believe a small Toyota can pull his big truck. We didn't stick around long. He had broken his driver side cv.

You gotta try new stuff other wise you will never know the capabilities of your truck. Push the limits!

I second this. I'm still learning but surprised everytime I tackle something I didnt think I could do. Of course I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone either. There was one small trail yesterday I said "nope" and just bailed on. Don't have my sliders yet and didnt want to risk it.

Those first few scratches, trail rash, whatever you want to call them hurt the most. After that I just keep a decent coat of wax and wear it as a badge. Means you're using your truck in my opinion.

    Anyone seen my wallet?

    agree.

i MAY have tried it just to see what a 2wd can do, but my 885s bounce too much with this weight and, its just a few days to jambo!

Yeah i do that all the time! I am not trying to damage my truck. However now that i have giant sliders and an IFS skid being delivered to jambo i may have to start getting out of my comfort zone. However i will not be the first to try an obstacle!

My sliders should be shipping out today. So last thing I wanted to do was get damage right before they show up. :anonymous:

I'll never be okay with trashing my paint, unless it's already starting to age by itself (clear peeling, fading, chipping, etc). So 10+ years down the line, maybe I'll be fine with it lol. This could be the detailer inside me talking, though.

I used to be just like you....would bug the hell out of me seeing the smallest imperfection. Now a scratch in the clear coat just means the clear coat did its job. A deep scratch into the paint though...yeah I'll be fixing that for the time being. Lucky I have not had that happen yet though.

Ironically, I have had slammed vehicles all my driving life, so frame rails, chassis/sub-frames, control arms, broken oil pans etc sometimes are all scraped to hell and back. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess haha
