Different strokes for different folks. We had 2 different end scenarios we were aiming for here.

SDHQ is a bit pricey but they do amazing work. I don't buy big ticket items from them usually because I can get on the internet and save taxes. I do buy tabs and brackets and things I need quick, they have always been pretty friendly to me. There a few misc SDHQ pieces in here ;) getting some progress done too, hopefully on its wheels soon

SDHQ is like any other speedshop that's ever existed. Spend a ton of cash there and you'll be family. Spend a good amount and you'll be cool with them. Come in for small shit, nobody cares.

SRD was the exact same way back in the 90's when they did mostly import drag cars. They wouldn't of pissed on me if I was on fire until I ended up dropping 8k in their shop. Then they'd show up at the drags to help me tune before runs, come to the shop after hours to work, etc. As soon as I quit spending money with them, they turned around and didn't give a shit about me being a customer anymore.

I seriously don't understand all the hate Directed towards SDHQ. I have not spent a ton of cash there, yet I am treated great by everyone there. They always go out of their way to take care of me and of course the quality and attention to detail in the parts they build is definitely superior to anything else out there. Are their custom fabricated parts pricey? sure. Unreasonably expensive? Not at all. Quality costs money. They actually spend the time to engineer their parts and pay attention to the little details that a lot of others ignore. Beyond that, they seem to always support local TW events that other vendors seem absent from. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but I like to base mine on facts and actual first hand experiences.

I really like how they have the trailer and travel out to events. Sure some will say its just to sell more product but you don't see everyone with really nice loaded trailers on site supporting off road events. Another part that adds cost is most everything they do is chromoly and tig. Maybe not always needed but if you want the bling you have to pay up sucka!

Does avid have a showroom? On their vendor forum page the address listed is just a house out in Queen Creek...

Ha ha I was going to take a lady friend to that too but we were gonna be stealthy and try to scope it out from an overlook or something w/ more privacy. Sadly, I'm a dirty old man dating a girl 9 years younger than me and I forgot about final exams.

That was one of the things that stuck out to me, the big area of assorted fab shit. Sometimes you just need to get your hands on a specific bolt or bracket & that's great. I was kinda "eh" about the fact that no price tags were anywhere to be seen.

Total oppsosite experience for me between Sierra and SDHQ then and now. I say spend your money where ever the hell you are treated best.

Hows the old saying go... Bad service reaches twice as many ears?

No, we are a fab shop not a store front. Google maps thinks we are a house. It's quite funny.

Please PM me if you need some help.

    Thanks
