That's what I'm worried about, what issues are gonna start popping up further down the road? I'm hoping that all the problems so far are all that are gonna show up.

I had the issue leaving it there for an unknown amount of time, she had no issue
with me bring it Saturday or keeping it there. I said, what if parts aren't in
for 3 months - she said, you'd just hang on to the loaner, no problem.... No thanks! :)

I'm getting slightly annoyed at my dealer.

Brought my truck in on Friday morning for it's 20K service.

When writing me up, the SA notices the recall and ask if I would like for it to be completed, I said, sure. I don't think my diff is leaking, but go ahead and check the bolts.

Get a call back around 5pm, and they said they need to keep my truck, and come get the loaner. No ETA on fix.

Come Monday, I call them up and they said they had the parts to fix, but still waiting corporate to give the go ahead. That's a real head scratcher right there. I thought the recall specifically says to fix if they see the problem. Anyways.

The SA promises me a call back, but still no ETA on fix or when I can get my truck back.

Man, be happy... they are going to fix it and fix it right most likely. I'll gladly trade my dealership for yours any day. The only real fix is to replace the gasket and bolts, so they are doing you right.

I'm just slightly annoyed at the lack of communication from the SA. I was actually planning on selling my truck this week, and I don't like that my truck is held hostage at the dealer until they fix it.

Well, I can understand the frustration there, but at least they seem to be wanting to correct the situation. My old dealership just said, "that's not a bad leak, you're 110% fine."

It's a leak dagnabbit. Hell, it if were a Chevy - the whole car lot would be recalled.

My Taco was on the recall list. I looked and there was no leakage, but took it in to dealer anywho.
They re-torqued the pumpkin bolts, confirmed no leakage, and sent me on my way.
Now I am ripping down the highway at 3500 RPM, with my TRD intake sucking wind, my Magnaflow blowing big air, and the wind in my hairs...... Ariba!!!

Now you can sell it saying the recall work has been done beforehand.

Yes, that is ideal. Just bad timing I guess. Seems so trivial. Yes, we noticed some weeping. Yes, we have the parts to fix. No we can't start fixing until Toyota tells us to.

As frustrating as it might seem, it will help you in the resale instead of having the work not complete being a haggling point.

Mine is on the recall list (2016 TRD Sport 4x2). No leaks, and I checked torque. All good to go. Nice to find.:bananadance:

So no documentation supporting that the recall has been accomplished on your truck? Am I reading that right?

So are you expecting an update or a come get your truck we're all done call? Either way I get you look sexy AF in a camry.

My 2017 DCSB sport goes in Thursday for recall, i looked under and don't see any leaking or seepage = bone dry! So should be easy peasy! Also i asked the guy on the phone to have the TSB rev-1 looked at and done if it applies to my 17 and also a trans fluid level check is part of that too i believe, he said yeah no problem just remind them of that when i drop it off.

Dude if chicks aren't digging your car seats as much as a new puppy, you're driving in the wrong hood.

Dbag? I'm sure we'll get along just fine.
