Well, after pulling the actuator apart, cleaning up and tracing all the leads to make sure they have proper continuity, I put it back together today and it seems to work perfectly. The question now is do I chance it to Georgia which leaving is 2 days away?

I didn't really do anything to it. My best guess is that having it split apart dried the inside out and maybe now it's not shorting out? Does that seem far fetched?

Ouch that was cringe worthy for the driveshaft part. I smashed that rock with your slider on roller roaster (second clip) when i went up

Edit: not sure if that was roller coaster though lol

It was great meeting everyone yesterday.

    Where was "roller coaster?"

I also have a bunch of dashcam stuff I might get around to posting sometime. Looking forward to next time. There's still a lot there we didn't even get to before it was time to go.

The Roller Coaster is back somewhere between Hammer Hill and Slick Rock. It's really hard to describe where stuff is back there because the trails are a little confusing. That was my 4th time there (over a span of 4 years) and I only have a general idea of where everything is.

I'm actually a little surprised that I was having so much trouble even with only 3 wheel drive. Should have been doing at least as good as an open-diff Heep, but she just didn't wanna go. I aborted the attempt because I figured if I had that much trouble on the way up, I didn't have much of a chance with that ledge at the top.

That rock at the top of roller coaster gives a solid pucker Factor. The entire Hill is a pretty good pucker factor on a manual transmission because of that rock

It was clearly worse than when I was there last in December of '15, but I crawled up it that time easily; didn't even spin a tire. I think that was after the trip you guys took where Wes and everyone was having so much trouble with it. I think this time, it might have given me some trouble due to my lack of ground clearance. My wheelbase might have help me though. Never know now...stupid busted axle...:(

    Update on the damage...

So far I'm looking at having to replace my whole wheel hub (possibly including the wheel bearing if the hub can't be pressed out without destroying the bearing), probably the lockout, unless I can find a gear kit for it, and the CV axle. This is really gonna kill my regear fund. :pout:

Sorry fella's, late getting this out. A bit rushed, did it in about an hour tonight...didn't want to keep kicking the can forever.

Thanks, Matt! Now I have something to remember the fun I had when I start getting bummed about the damage I still haven't fixed, haha. Guess I need to nut up and get serious about finding that damn wheel hub. :frusty:
