New house has the options of the following tree in the front yard, what would you choose?

Ash
Evergreen elm
Southern live oak
Acacia salicina

 

First summer camp trip is scheduled... kids get out of school on the 23rd, we head out the 25th or 26th return the 28th. Now, were do we want to go.... Must be cooler, have water... anyone else with kids want to come along? @MaverickTRD ?

 

Anyone know of or have a used 255/85/16 laying around? Just ordered new tires and I'll be looking for a decent used spare.

I have one in my backyard that we put in 8 years ago when we got the house but the roots are all over the yard, popping up the landscaping curbing, going under the block wall, the patio and lord knows probably ruining my foundation.
I need to get a chainsaw solely for the purpose of cutting that 35 foot fucker down and try to save the rest of my backyard.

I'd go with Ash. I always liked the look of them with the white bark.
But I'd do more research into whatever you look at to make sure. We didn't question the landscaper who put it in because we thought he "knew what's best". FAIL.

 

Live Oak, they do well with heat, and provide a lot of shade when they grow up year round!

Looks like fun. I feel like I went a different way then you guys usually go when I went. None of the pics look like anything I went through. But still fun.

 

Like you went through more difficult sections? Not sure where else you can go.. I've only ever done this route. it changes though due to weather and traffic. They have a mining operation in the creek so there's a slight detour that takes you right down the creek itself. was pretty fun.

 

Nothing more difficult. I just feel like it was a different route. Not sure how to explain the way I went, found the route on an fj forum but I think I ended up taking a wrong turn somewhere. Still fun.
