Longest daily commute on TW

Depends on how you want to look at it. I am a forester and work for a private contractor. We cover most of the Cascade range in Washington and occasionally out on the cost and over to Lewiston, ID and Spokane. So I'm not really hauling anything, just using it to get to the job site.

 

60 miles round trip. Average about 23-24mpg. I'm a 4cyl though.

 

75 miles roundtrip, but only drive the Tacoma when the roads are bad. Have a little Honda that gets over 30mph otherwise. Use the Tacoma strickly for fishing/camping/hunting/mudding trips.

 

I'm about 15 miles each way.
18.5 -19 on the way there

21 on the way home.

 

100 miles round trip @ 13-14 mpgs. I don't drive below 65 and its a MT. Luckily it's twice a week at most and the other days I carpool with the wife in the subie (27mpg).

 

My commute veries every day. I have 46,000 on my sr since April for work getting 17.5 mpg.The trd off road has 21,000 on it since March. Used on my days off by me or the wife going to get groceries getting 20 mpg

 

same case for me.
I was on one job that was faster to walk to than to drive to lol
then 140km each way for another one.

 

Round trip 210 miles. Hopefully this will change in the near future.

 

So three hours and 2/3 tank per day? That's a $200 commute everyday.

 

Thats not both ways its total so one tank can get it but it is getting expensive.. better than not working

 

Got a new job. 106 miles away. 212 miles round trip. If I calculated it right, it would be about $400 of gas every month.

To put into perspective, the last time I went to California, it was less than $400 in gas to get there. It sucks but like @kuhndawg said, it's better than not having a job.

I'll definitely try to steal my moms accord whenever I can since that gets more than double mpg.

 

Damn, and you're doing that 5x a week? Is the job worth it? If so, any chance to move closer to the site?

 

4 days a week. Long hours, supposedly with a lot of overtime. And unless I can find a place to rent under $400 a month, I'll just have to stick it out.

 

Gotcha. I guess I shouldn't bitch about 52 miles round trip, 3x a week (work from home the other 2 days). Some of these commutes you guys have are crazy

 

80 mile round trip. Getting 24 mpg

 

Not a lot of people on this post. This quote was in December. Same commute. ~20 mpgs now. 23k miles.

 

I drive 4.5 miles each way and get roughly about 20-21.

 

52 miles each way. 20 mpg avg.

 

74 miles each way, I'm lucky and make the drive once a week I've got a crash pad by work and do day trades. I work two double shifts and a single then off for 4 days.

 

9km each way. That's what 1.2 miles?
