Chris I'm kinda sad they went with the turbo style supercharger instead of, is it called and centrfugel or something like that?

yeah it's essentially a turbo that runs off of the pulley system :(

I don't think anyone is developing a positive displacement SC for the 2.7L which is a shame.

The centrifugal ones have come a long way though.

A long way indeed. I have seen some very stout, and reliable centrifugal SC setups in the past 10 years. I wouldn't hesitate putting one on my ride either, and still prefer it over a Turbo in a truck application.

Its good to see someone finally put out a forced induction kit for our 2.7's. If all goes well with this kit, there is a good chance i'll be throwing one of the Taco.

    How about fuel economy?

Obviously depends on how much you hammer it, but I wonder how much it'll go down in comparison.

1-2 is kinda average across the board in the 1st gen supercharged tacos I know of.

You mean a Posative Displacement. Yeah...The centrfugel arent bad, but the boost comes on fast with a Posative Displacement (Roots type) blower.

All depends on how you use it. If you stay out of the boost, it will be as it is stock. When I put mine on my 2.7, I went from about 22, to 20.5 mpg.

Looking forward to it. So, finally, is it a root type supercharger or centrifugal?

i emailed them about it, comes with a pretuned piggy back and they are trying to work out a deal with unichip for the u.s. so that the unichip would be the module that is the ecu piggyback
