He lives in Arizona. Longer trips between stopping. I am in city stop and go traffic. Stop signs at ever corner

I'm keeping it at 65mph on freeway. Interstates here 75mph+ Kill the fuel. I'd probably be getting 18 if I had to drive 75+

When I was off-roading the other day after it was done my gas mileage wasn't great to say the least. Just now coming back up

That is awful dude. Something might be wrong with your truck? Are you running 48" tires?

    Checked my Vin on Toyota recall site. Said I'm not affected. Looked under today and saw some seepage next to the diff bolts. I have a few choices;
    1) bitch to everyone and complain
    AKA pull a smitty
    2) go down to my local dealer and drop it off, no questions asked
    3) do nothing and hope to pull a random Tokyo drift down the highway

    Hmmm

There still in the wtf we going do stage! "The Recall" is too new to know what exactly is the best remedy as they don't have one yet. They may opt to do something more than just a gasket and bolt swap. There still thinking which is the the best solution. Fix it right the 1st time as it's a safety recall so they gotta be dam sure they get it right. Sorry OP for the Corolla drive the shit out of that ! There actually fun to drive....
So yeah Beware y'all I wouldn't take your Taco in until you get the notice in June.
Or they may hold it hostage or be required to for there liability.
I made an appointment for July 5th with a loaner to be on the safe side.

Can you guys even imagine how much money this is costing Toyota? They're having to replace so many parts and you know it can't be under like $50 a truck. Multiply that by 288,000 trucks and that's at least 14.4 million dollars. Minimum. Not to mention the labor. Plus they just spent $125 million on that new plant, Toyota is going through some serious cash right now

Mine was leaking a bit too while I was not under recall. We could just wait and sue their pants off if something happens?

I actually was surprised at the 4Runner being so smooth. I have not had that feeling since my 15 Tacoma. I never put anything in the bed that peeked over the rails so I can carry what I carried in the truck in the 4 Runner. Same dimensions except there is an opportunity to load a few 8" 2x4s between the seats, I know you have had issues. At first, I thought the issues were harmless like the howling we went crazy to solve. Now I had a whirring bearing in the rear end when there is no load on it. That was the last straw for me. I was very fortunate to get into the 4Runner for $750. . I can throw a liner and tarp in the 4Runner and carry the same things I carried with the truck.

Nice to see you are still here stirring it up....Thankfully I am going to miss the rear end issues. although I think a bearing was making noise. Probably the rear end issue.no issues no mo

Understand your logic but I bet the few who had their diff lock up on the fly may not concur.

    Buy up XOM

    BUYING MORE XOM!

It's pocket change for TM. They have >$25b in unrestricted cash. Check out their annuals (10k) or search for their balance sheet on line.

That's enough for ~675,000 new Tacomas at $35,000 each.
