Your rear end bearing issue...did you see my 3rd gen howling when feathering throttle poll?

Can you imagine what we all collectively paid for all the Tacomas we all bought from 2016-2017?

I seriously think they'll be OK. Actually I'm more worried about having the dealerships fall in line with a solid and consistent protocol AND to give the techs enough real world time to fix the issue.

Numerous people that have gone through recalls consider this recall a minor one.

@smitty99 I wonder if it could be my air filter giving me mpg issues? Maybe the MAF sensor? I'll check it out tomorrow

Yep I had a frame replaced, and the truck had vibrations, and they didn't put the fasteners back in on the front in body panels. Really f%^*+. Up the truck. So I traded it in on a turd Gen...........

At least the 3rd gen looks good. Crawl control works well so far and mts does too, so there's that

I have had no issues other than the one I said, but not bad considering. The only thing that I didn't like is they wouldn't release the truck. I told them I'd bring it back when they have the repair parts and he said they couldn't do that. I said ok how long for the fix? His answer was we have had vehicles in here for months for the whole air bag issue. One was there for 9 months,, wow.

Just read Toyota expects to take a 3.6 Billion dollar hit on the frame recall and they have added Tundras as well.

Maybe they should've made it right in the first place. I bought a Toyota because it was a "quality" truck. The truck doesn't even have 20,000 miles on it and the rear diff has been leaking. Pathetic, why is Toyota still known as reliable. I was hoping for 10 years out of this truck and now with all the recalls I'm starting to worry I won't live 10 years in this truck

All the thirds gens in the recall are worth well less than half, at retail price, of the free cash Toyota has on hand. I'm more concerned about the hit on their reputation & if it (problem design) going to be a running trend.

Their stock price took a small hit after the headlines ran but only a few %.

Can't release the truck for safety reasons but not putting out the notification letters until June...........

I guess once they inspect it and find an issue, they are now liable to let it back out in the road.

Toyota has been taking a hit in many of there lines with recalls in many models. They are not the same quality company anymore. They are just like the domestic companies, not surprised since many ex-domestic auto people run them now.

I'm just gonna try to love what I love about my truck and ignore the kinks. Overall I'd give it an 8/10 truckwise

If you popped on the recall list they'll likely hold onto your truck for awhile
