This guy told me once...and this was for an aircraft....see the puddle? If you can jump over it, it's not a problem.

Depending on the state you live in you could be entitled to a Tacoma loaner or Tundra. I can't use a Corolla for work.

Supposed to be top of list to get the one they have in their fleet when it comes back. I won't be holding my breath.

My dealer has 15 Taco loaners for frame replacements. I would call the GM and tell him you need it for work. A Corolla? What a joke.

If I honestly needed it for work, I'd have pitched a red ass fit. :rofl:As it just gets me there and back, I'll deal with the car for now. The less I deal with them the better. I was really surprised that they are actually doing something. We'll see.....

Toyota knows how to fix this.

Q4: How long will the repair take?
A4: If the vehicle does not have a leak present the repair will take approximately 45 minutes. If the leak condition is present the repair will take approximately three and a half hours. However, depending upon the dealer’s work schedule, it may be necessary to make the vehicle available for a longer period of time.

But they are probably reading the work instructions and paperwork BS and getting the techs trained, because to replace the gasket, they have to pull the center section out which also means pulling the axles out. I can just see it, guys will have a leaky but other wise quite and normally operating differential, then they will somehow screw it up after replacing the gasket and we will have the howing wolf rear ends......:(

True, but the Dealers are instructed to hold the vehicle for final remedy, the print out sheet actually says, if there is a leak, hold the vehicle for final remedy, and in several weeks Toyota will instruct the dealer on what the final remedy is.

So, if you have a leak, Toyota will take your truck and you won't be given a ETA on when it will be fixed.

Took my 17 sport in for service and left in a Camry. Ridiculous they wouldn't give me a truck cause all toyota will pay for is a Camry as a rental

Took it in, had leak, gave me a loaner, used it for a week, went back and got my truck, waiting on parts.

How about an option that says "No leak found, but no notes about them torquing anything." I kid, kind of, because shouldn't the paperwork say something like "recall procedure followed and torqued bolts"? All mine says is "Inspection found rear differential is not leaking. No corrective action required at this time."
