This thing has to be quite the squirrely little car to drive. I would never expect someone to drop that much work into a rx-8 .

well, no question. Igor has a minor front end collision at some point in his life. fuckin sales guy left that out.

Took the grill off tonight, hood latch it bent almost to the AC condenser. New grill doesn't really line up as nice either.

Looks cool though. i think. Got dark. Will see tomorrow.

 

Had a car like that. The replace the outer bumper and shit. But the radiator and shit was bent and the core support so I sold it the same way lol.

 

So, I'm considering purchasing another rig. A land cruiser. A friend has a 100 model available. It's in pretty good shape. Totally stock.

I am wondering if I would be able to tow the RedHead with it. Do you think that is wishful thinking?

 

Yeah i did. But this means it was worse then i thought.

hmm...idk. I think its a bit wishful. i know you were talking about this in Oct in utah and getting a slightly larger rig in general.

If you want a tow rig...get a real tow rig.

How's the 2UZ-FE? Is it as bullet proof as the 5VZ-FE?

 

Yes. Great v8 really.

Bit down on power and torque though for its size really. But still, a very nice motor. TRD made blowers for it but not many too. There is some good aftermarket support for the 3uz though via the lexus market and the 2uz shares the same intake so pretty much all of it is transferable if more power is needed.

I remember you talking about this rig and how nice it was. Also how you told the person that you wanted to buy it when they sold it. Didn't think that would happen so fast.

She told me today they just bought a rand new one. Going to Oregon to pick it up on Friday. I guess the dealer has offered 8K on the '03 so that appears to be the price point. 172K on the ODO.

 

From what I've heard 8K on a great condition 100 series is low, might be a good deal if you trust the people that owned it.

Yeah, I do. Its only seen soccer mom duties its whole life. I get to review that maintenance records tomorrow.

I've been shopping mid 2000's 100 series for over a year. If it's really cherry that's a good deal. The dealer will simply detail it and put it on the lot for 13k.
