Anyways. Fun game to watch. I'm a little salty about the whole Crosby thing. I didn't like Ovi's stick to the head, that caused the whole thing. Also while I don't think Niski set up to blast Sid there, I think he was opportunistic enough to take a shot. Not sure ow people are saying that he didn't try to (like Edzo), that is just complete bs. But it is what it is. I liked the Pens response. Hopefully we can take tomm night's game and not get them back in it. Hopefully Sid and Sheary are ok. I'm sort of dreading possible bad news, today.

 

If that was anyother player that would have either been a no call, or a 2min minor.

 

I only watched the replay once but I have to agree. If Crosby had gotten up it was a non call, and any other player takes that hit and it's nothing, maybe 2.

 

Watched it again. Niskanin deserved a penalty, but it looks accidental to me. Being that it's Crosby though he might get suspended a game or two. Crosby falls into him, he's watching the play not trying to hit crosby at all. IMHO

 

agree he was just trying to protect himself.

Ovi should have gotten a slash on that on that play for sure though. The caps d man was just braceing himself as crosby slid into him. Whatever, i want both those teams to lose lol!!

 

I agree, the slash was the most obvious penalty on the play.
