Random question about your dog. If you are on a downhill section that switch backs does your dog stay on the trail or does he say screw it and skips the corners? Mine cheats every single time and then is so proud for being faster than me

 

that made me laugh! My dog is such a smartass sometimes so I totally get the personality trait there.

 

Yeah you should bring him with you biking! Thats the only way we can actually get him tired...well biking and swimming are the only ways. Dog loves to swim.

If he sees he can take a cheater line, he will everytime haha. He has to run pretty quick to keep up so he takes any shortcut he can, I dont blame him!

Can you tell me what your setup is here? Are those Yakima uprights? Which ones?

 

How much was that setup minus the bike carriers

 

Met some new taco and bike friends.
Great ride fellas!!

 

- The round bars were 70, the uprights were 100 (used), and the brackets were 150.

 

- The four bed brackets are from summitracks.
- The uprights are Yakima 1A rain gutters.
- The Yakima roundbars are 66".
- Three Yakima frontloaders.

Ran into these guys! Both the red tacoma and purple just bought bikes from me(blue taco) and Doug (black taco). Pretty small world out there! Oh then we had to photo opp!!

 

I have a Yakima Ridgeback 4 hitchmount that I use to carry my bike(s). I notice that, when I use the top tube adapter, I get a lot of swing from the bike, even to the point where the pedal arm bumps the hitch rack. Have you guys seen this happen and are there any adjustments I can make to prevent this? Thanks!
[UPDATE]: I switched my bike around to utilize the seatpost mountpoint as a stabilizer on the top tube instead of the seatpost and that seems to help (see pic), but if there are any other suggestions out there I'd like to hear them!

Yea we had that exact conversation! If you notice most people driving Tacoma's are pretty active.. And yes he has a dope bike!

 

True that, I have noticed many of the LT guys who ride tend to do DH or moto as well. Def a small world man.

Yea many of the long travel guys I have noticed are into DH as well. Since both communities are big on suspension, doesn't surprise me.

Once you dive in the high speed life, its hard to get out! I have a bad habit of throwing out that term when many may not be familiar.
