    IMG_2743.jpg Got my sliders tonight!

Build quality is great, and the powder finish is just right.

Unfortunately, shipping quality... not so much. They got a little beat up on the way.

Did you note on the freight companies ticket that there was damage and take photos? What freight company was it that you picked them up from? We put this on the bottom of the email when we send the customer their tracking information for this reason:

**When shipment arrives, note any visual damage on trucking companies paperwork before accepting shipment. If there is no visual damage, you have 5 days to report hidden damage to me so I can file a claim.
If you fail to report damage within the allotted time frame all liability falls to you for any costs incurred to repair or replace parts.**

There is only so much we can do to ensure safe delivery. Short of building and fully crating these which is extremely time consuming and expensive, a cost that we will never get back and can't charge the customer for because freight is already a major expense in your purchase. We overbuild the pallets, block them in place and strap them down with metal bands. Freight companies are very careless with product handling. We typically don't have issues but if you report to us right away we can often get the freight company to make it right.

We are one of the few vendors that ships sliders and bumpers via LTL freight on pallets. Many ship them FedEx/UPS Ground and just slap a label and hope for the best. We tried this in the beginning and it was a nightmare. Entire sliders would go missing or they'd arrive completely destroyed.

We also have this on the website that you agree to with each order: http://mobtownoffroad.com/legal-fine-print/

It covers a lot and I am sure most people probably never read it.

I am not personally attacking you btw. This is more of an in depth response so that others can see it too. Please contact me here so we can get this resolved: http://mobtownoffroad.com/get-in-touch/

I noted the damage with the freight company (YRC). I also knowingly agreed to the terms of the purchase. No problems on your part. Solid pallet build and no concerns with the strap-down. You guys did a great job.
The slider on top (driver's side) was scratched with some of the powder missing and some light gouging. It looks like the freight company threw some metal crap on top and let it slide around. Unfortunately it was the top side and not the bottom side of the slider.
I'm not worried about it too much, since I'll be doing the same damage myself later... just a little annoyed at their lack of handling.
    Passenger side is pristine though.

Seriously impressed with the quality of these.

Does anyone know if YRC is supposed to call you when the shipment arrives? The tracking says my shipment arrived at the terminal today but I haven't received a call yet. No luck on getting anyone to pick up the phone on their end either to confirm that I can get my pallet either.

They're supposed to call you. I just left a message on our rep's voicemail trying to see what is going on. I will let you know. What is your PRO number or your last name so I can look up the order.

I recall you mentioning that we shouldn't leave the pallet at the terminal since you will get charged, so I wanted to make sure it was ready to be picked up before making the drive over. It is a little over 30 minutes without traffic so I didn't want to waste the trip without confirming.

    Thanks.

It is if it is left there for more than a week or two usually. If it arrived today, they will most likely call later today or tomorrow morning. Takes time internally on their end to check it in.

Thank you! Top notch customer service right here folks. You may think about branching off and offer some consulting to train other companies to do the same. God knows that most companies need the help.
