I love mine. Read all of the negativity on this sight and ignored it cause I wanted one. I'm glad I did. This truck has out performed all of my expectations. I live in mountain country at 7000 feet elevation and have no issues whatsoever with the shifting or the power. I think a lot of it depends on the attitude you go into it with. If you are sure that the truck is going to suck and have a lot of issues, then you are going to look for issues and complain about everything. My only regret with this truck...not getting a long bed. I realized after the fact that an extra foot of bed space would be nice when going camping...oh well. Next time.

Happy with my 6 speed manual trans v6 2017 DC sport Taco, if I could go back and do it over, no I wouldn't, I would have ordered a cement Pro, for the color.

Says the guy with a 15

Average folks toss those surveys in the trash or don't have something to compare it to.

Then please tell mine that because it is singing louder to me each day. They are affected, I don't care what the recalls says. Adding smiley face...:)

    Listen man,

A lot of people on here bitch about this, that and the other. Majority of people that have issues are going to run to the keyboard and thats what you see a lot on here. The other people are too busy having a good time to hop on here and type this shit out (such as myself) I've found that out of all of my friends that have there tacomas we are all having a great experience. My dad has been selling Toyota for 13 years. You won't regret it. It's a great truck. Not perfect (like any vehicle) but still great

I'm sorry to hear that. Mine has been perfect except for the rear diff and I track how loud it is with my radio volume and it has gotten louder. That worries me. I just want it fixed. If it gets fixed then the love fest continues. If not.......

Have you checked the fluid level? The only issue seems to be the seal, so if your's isn't leaking then you have another problem.

Mine looks absolutely perfect. Not a leak anywhere. And, before my dealer delivered it to me in February their policy was to check the fluid level and initial by the rear diff who checked it. They said it was fine and I had never heard of anything like what they were doing at the time and I have owned my share of new cars.

Sounds like you have another issue then, but until you check the fluid yourself it's purely speculation on your part that there is anything wrong with the rear diff.

You have to realize the everyone with problems gather on this site. One person might have tranny issues, another might have diff issues. Doesn't mean every truck will have it, it just seems like it because usually only people with problems will post. That's what TW is good for, a place for people to iron out kinks and call Toyota out. Now there are some very enthusiastic nay sayers but that's no different than any other forum. Most of the people that have no issues aren't going to post here. The vast majority of users are satisfied with their trucks. If you look at past year recalls for the Tacoma you'll laugh at some people's reactions right now.

I would drive one with 10 or 20 K on it and see how it drives.

Agreed. Get yourself a real off road truck. See, you can see the rocks and stuff in the pic.
