Are you running 16 or 17? This will not work with a 16" wheel. I assume you have a 17" but FYI in case you don't. I'll make that clear when I write it up.

It would be interesting to see how it performed without ABS. You will see that shit kick in when I do the brake test.

Does anyone need a pair of 13WL calipers? I purchased them a while back with the intent of swapping, but later found out they're the same as my 2nd gen lol

@nudavinci64 what rotors did you go with? While I'm waiting on dust shields (where to buy, besides rock auto) and saving money for my new wheel bearings/hub assemblies off TW, I figured I could start doing up some 14WA calipers all nice.

I have new KING suspension to put on along with blue SS brake lines. I got each caliper off eBay from a 2014 SR5 4Runner for $55 shipped each. Rebuild kit was around $8 each. Currently looking for the hardware kit and a bleeder screw One was bent badly and luckily I had some screw extractors because Oreillys wanted $85 for a single caliper (reman of course) plus $52 core, which technically I had I guess but they weren't in stock.

Anyway I wore wheeled off as much of the brake dust and crap off of them and started to smooth the outside up. I don't have an air compressor here but my buddy does, so once I get both smoothed up and as clean as I can get them I will hopefully be able to blow the pistons out. I read on T4R that sometimes some of the pistons get stuck in these calipers :(, but I'm hopeful.

Anywhere, here are a few pics. Thought about doing blue with white stickers but I think I'm gonna just do black with white stickers

@Low Range Off-Road sourced everything for me as this was a test fit for a possible offering on their site. The Rotors are Stoptech slotted rotors. Dust shields I believe were from Toyota. Probably one of the pricier items considering all the parts. You def need to replace those, the rotors would not fit at all with the stock ones. Re-manufactured is just find for the Calipers. Pretty sure that is what I got.

Shouldn't be an issue if you get some Co2 through the pistons. I actually did that on mine as I removed the dust shields at one point while prepping and wanted to make sure they were set correctly.

I would've liked to see a before and after brake test(stopping distance); would be nice to see if there is any improvements at all with stopping power.

You will. Per several posts ago. I am going to do another brake test once they have seasoned up a bit and write it all up. I have feet and video to go along with it. I saw initially 10-12% increase. First 2 passes were not great but once they warmed up it was better. Overall bite and feel is better than before. Been busy the past week but should have it all soon.

Gotcha, yeah I have found Stop Tech rotors and only want slotted like you have, I don't want drilled and dimpled. Just ordered new bleeder screws and caliper hardware. I also cut out some Racing Development TRD stickers as well, just like Speedy did lol

Just finished the calipers. Ordered the StopTech slotted rotors tonight on eBay as well. $98 each free shipping. After that I found them on RockAuto for around $188 shipped for the pair. So a little cheaper, but oh well.

Did you go with OEM pads or StopTech? I'm thinking I may try the EBC Green Stuff pads

    @Low Range Off-Road

If you sell this as a kit, I recommend everyone buying this from you. I should have just bought it all at once. This was a pita and I bet I have as much or more money into this as you would sell this as

I wish there was a sticky like this for 5-lug trucks! Because of the bolt pattern and offset I suspect that some Toyota/Lexus car calipers would work (LS400 would be nice!). The bolt pattern is so common that rotors would be easy to find in nearly any diameter.

Hello 4x4Taco09, nudivinci64 and everyone else! Quick question: why do you keep calling them 14WA? I can't figure out what that reference is. I about to pull the trigger on buying some toyota OEM 47750-60300 (caliper left) and 47730-60300 (caliper right) to do the same job, are these not the 2014 4runner calipers you are both taking about? I hope to hear from someone soon b/c I found a good deal and am about to purchase.

    Thank you!

@arwinnnsd the calipers are stamped 14WA, I believe some of the pictures I posted of the calipers show this stamping on the side.

Well looking back none do actually. But if you look at the last caliper in the OP you can see the stamping that I am talking about
