When it came to installing the rack I messed up on cutting the weather stripping. (Not as easy as I thought it would be.) so my question is, will the 2nd gen rubber stripping fit on my 3rd gen?
I can't not find the 3rd gen stripping for under $100 a strip.
    Anything helps!

I believe yes because the OEM Roof Rack fits the 2005 to 2017 Tacoma. So I believe the stripping is the same

100/strip, jesus I cannot get it here in Canada for under 190 a strip. so both sides is about 400 shipped. Your getting a crazy deal down there, stop your whining.

All joking around, apparently the 2nd gen weather stripping is the same part number. I'm looking for a junker to take it off.

Hah damn 190 I guess I don't have it that bad. We have bunch of junk yards here in Reno Nevada and can pick up 2nd gen strips for 10 bucks each. So just want to be sure before I drive over there. No refunds if they don't fit.

A lot of junk yards now list their vehicles/parts online. One just needs to be tech savvy to search through it or have the patience to find what they are looking for. neither of which I am capable of doing. We do not have a lot of those up here in Canada either. They are around just few and far btw.

Be happy you have the roof rack, some of us are waiting (currently week 4, others I know are week 7-8 for the prinsu). enjoy the rack, looks sharp on the truck

If you can find a bunch in the junkyards and they do fit the 3rd gens. Grab me a set and send them my way in Canada. I'll pay ya for the shipping and more then what you paid for them. Its a win win for both of us.
