Truck Camper? I can't seem to find that version on the web site? Kinda looks like one of their tent campers.

They make a new camper now I thnk it's the jeep rock crawler camper about the same size but built heavier, big wheels and tires to match the jeep, and full aluminum skids. The little one I looked at yesterday is also made in an off road version with larger wheels and tires. Idk I thought it was really cool

Morning all! I'll start on armor today but it will be broken into 2 parts to keep the post shorter and this topic was an adventure both frustrating yet entertaining and educational.
    Front bumper:
I was in the search for skids and asking around for a vendor ( later subject) when I recieved a PM from a member in SC who was selling his fornt bumper and wanted to know if I was interested? It just happened to be the exact bumper I was looking at SOS Concepts aluminum plate bumper. After about a week we struck a deal and I met him in Greensboro, NC to pick it up. He was a good guy, the bumper was as advertised, and I wish I'd had the money at the time to get the rear to go with it he had for sale. I drove home and removed the stock bumper assembly and put it on the same day. It may not be everybody's taste but I like it. It was an extravagance I wouldn't probably have done but at least this time was smart enough to take advantage of a good deal.

    Sliders:
Wow these were fun! @TacoFMS was upgrading his sliders he had All Pro bolt on DOM sliders that were welded on. Good idea as the reinforcing plates being bolt ons really beefed it up. He sawzalled them off the base plates as carefully as possible as my shoulder was already F'd up for the second time, he assembled his new sliders and I burned them onto the frame. He took the time to educate me on how sliders were actually supposed to work and line up on your truck for optimum benefit. I needed to extend these about an inch or so and even them out to have them align as described. I cut some pieces of 3/16 tubing just small enough to slide inside the existing legs and some pieces to go over them to add the length I needed and square them up. The 5" long inner bridges were inserted and plug welded to the existing legs and the add on pieces slid over them and seem welded. Since these were cut from his frame I then had to fabricate base plates and gussets for which I went heavy and used 1/4 inch steel and welded to the legs of the sliders. Ready to go I thought! When I attempted to line them up on the frame I discovered that yes the sliders for a DCSB are the same length as for an AC, however, the rear 2 legs had to be relocated as body mounts and rivets intervened with mounting them flush to the frame. I removed the rear 2 legs on each side and relocated. I clamped them back onto the frame, everything lined up this time, and burned them onto the frame. Thanks to @TacoFMS for his help and a really good deal on a great pair of sliders.
I also stripped them to bare metal, coated with POR15, and then 2 coats of bed liner for ease of touch up.

I know these posts are long and sorry if boring but I just want to share what an adventure for me this has all been!
