Just wondering if anyone knows how easy it would be? I hear the seats in our Tacoma leave a lot to be desired, so I'm thinking of alternatives.

Ever seen what some seat parts cost? Whats so bad about your seats? Imagine its possible but i can think of a lot of things id rather have than several thousands worth of different oem toyota seats

Cost you a couple grand or more, especially if they're power seats, then you have to do the wiring

Instead of cobbling a mismatched interior together, go to an upholstery shop and have it custom fit to your own ass for less money, and a far better result.

Just a crazy idea. Seems like it would be cost prohibitive.

    Thanks guys.

good seats are insanely expensive. you have seats, now go make them good. some upholstery shops do this regularly for race car fittings. find one with experience. i did and it cost me $200, took 4 hours, and now my stock seat is the most comfortable chair i own. and to think i used drive and hating life witha numb right leg.

    none yet/none planned! It's perfect!
I was on this site before I bought my truck! Had reservations about a lot of the things that people brought up! The seats was one of them and I have only had the truck for about 2 weeks but I actually really like the seats. Wish they were electric but have not adjusted the seat since I owned it and it has not been an inconvenience so at this point I really don't care. The other issue was the throttle lag. It is definitely there but if I want to go faster I just give it more gas. I have not had any issues keeping up with traffic and when I do give it a lot more throttle it is a lot faster than what people made it sound like.

The thing I have noticed about this site is that 5% of the people on here are really negative but they seem to be the loudest! Don't believe the BS!

What did they do? My biggest problem is that the seat is about 1 or 2 inches too high, and I don't think there is anything I can do about it.

that was my complaint also. I'm still thinking about doing a drop bracket solution to lower the chairs mounts, but for now I'm happy without any significant compromise. i asked them to go as low as they could. the lowest point of the bucket has about 1/2" padding and it buckets up from there. it dropped me about 1-1.5" I'm guessing. it solved all my problems. I'm 6'1.5" btw

Ya, same hight as me, but I have heated seats. You think that will create a problem? Also, Have you looked at how the seat is mounted? I don't think there is a way to use a lower bracket.

heated seats are no problem. mine are heated. they shave foam from the bottom up, so the heaters are safe.

have not looked at the brackets yet but that's not a surprise.

First thing I thought of when I got the truck home. I will check into the seat shave.
