I have an appointment for the recall tommorow
My vin is on the recall list. But now from reading about people have their truck withheld I'm most likely gonna cancel. Especially since I live in the same town as OP

Again, the Off-Roads are not on the recall list... Yet. However you can still get this fixed via your warranty. Don't think there's a definitive answer yet, as to whether they'll make you wait for the "official fix" too, or just fix it now... Worth a call. Let me know what they say.

A seep is a stain, a leak is a fresh droplet, I imagine there's going to be a lot of innocent bystander victims till the dealers and the factory sort it all out. In the meant time, I'd stay away from the line of fire.

    Just a thought
    Cheers!

After reading this thread, I go to my garage a look underneath my 17 TRD 4x4 and found this. The truck only has 3100 miles... I check for recalls using my Vin, but nothing came up

Corn starch? Seriously though, that sucks.

"Cheers" and "Hope that helps" isn't going to give much help.

Agreed probably will sit this out till we actually get the letter in the mail can't justify the fact of the dealership keeping my truck sitting in their lot for 2 months while I'm making payments on it.

From what we have seen so far that is good news, since you are not on the recall list, it will be repaired immediately. Those on the recall list are having thier trucks held for "final remedy" while those who are not on the list are being repaired immediately under warranty.

Most likely this recall will expand to almost every 2016+ truck made.

-absolutely zero weeping, seeping, oil stains on the pumpkin, transfer case, front diff

    Ummm...Yup. I’m afraid it is so cap’n!
A little stain or seep like that will make it well past the owners warranty with no problemo, and well into the next owners life time with no issues.
These trucks have been out for 18 months already and near the end of the "free Toyota care" and no one noticed anything.
Why? its normal for most of the drivers out there to have stains. Most Fords, Chebbys and Chrysler not only have the stains and seeping but also have the pinion and axle leaks, things to really worry about!

I don't have any stains, just lucky I guess, but I do my own maintenance every 5k like clock work and look at my parking for stains once in a while.

Hope that helps you and my buddy dirty Harry stay happy and trouble free
    Cheers!
