So all in all id save around 400-500 with a straight axle set up... gonna have to see where this goes and talk to my local trailer shop... (friends of family) to see what it will all run me... and gotta figure out ride height as Ill be running 255/80/17s

Yeah I'd say somewhere in that ball park. You could go all out and do trailing arms like JLee hahaha

I wanted my trailer to be as tall as my truck so the 4" lift springs helped put the tongue of my trailer nice and level with my tow hitch on my bumper when I put my trailer on the matching 35's

With the axle i assume its easier to calculate how much lift youll need? Or did you have to get the axles all mounted up anf figure out the lift you needed?

I could do trailing arms as there is a member here with a tube bender And itd be cheaper but buying some shocks for that bitch would be KILLER on the budget... i think my max for this trailer build is 2k... not including extra shit... thats just including the parts and consumables

I mean it was pretty easy to figure out. All you have to do is add the height of the material at tongue height + height of spring hangars + height of leaf springs and perch + half of the diameter of your axle plus half of the diameter of your tire and there is your desired height.

    My tires are 35's so 17.5" + 1.5" (half of axle tube) + 1" spring perch + 4" lift springs + 2" hangers + 1" (center of tongue height)

Roughly 27" and my hitch in my bumper is right at 26-27"

If you have all the parts you don't necessarily need to mount it all up. Those are the things you need to add up to reach a desired height.

2k budget was relatively easy to stay under when I built my 4x6 trailer. Here is the link. @StOrMyThEtAcO owns it now

Sorry for the long message hahaha and all the numbers

    For sure dude.

For example, if you wanted to achieve 24" of height at the tongue on those 33" tires you'd have to add up the height of all those items. Most of the items only come in really 1 size except for the leaf springs. So at that point you'd be searching for leaf springs to bring the rest of the height up to 22"

    16.5" (half of tire diameter)
    1.5" (half of axle tube)
    1" spring perch
    2" hangers
    1" center of tongue height

You're at 22" so you need 2" lift springs.

You get it. Just thought I'd type up an example cuz I'm bored lol
