    Reserected from the dead.
Dirt doesn't need much moisture to turn to mildew. Even if you do get them dry, your ass sweating is going to make that deep, driven dirt turn to mildew.

Look up some YT vids on removal of seat fabric. It does take some work, but having those super clean, almost new looking seats would make it worth it.

It sounds like you have your mind up. Please report back.

I'm going to try to remove the seat fabric and see how that goes. That will allow me to address a hole in one of them while I'm at it so that's just fine.

If you can't get the covers off I'm sure an upholstery shop could. Sometimes they can be difficult if there's lots of plastic trim and hog rings involved. When you get them off, I'd use the gentle cycle on your washing manchine, dry on low heat, you don't want to risk shrinkage.

I was happy with mine for small jobs but had to fill and empty it endlessly so I now use a 2 gallon garden sprayer, scrub brush and a shop vac. The results are the same just a huge time savings now but if I were just doing little things here and there I would only use the Green Machine.

I'm not sure if you're talking about me but I don't think that word means what you think it means. I see it used a lot but very few people take the time to actually read what it is and how it applies to the person using it.

That said, I was serious if you were thinking my post was trolling, I'm old school man, Lincoln lockers old school from way back before you could just toss a handful of money at a problem buy something without having to fabricate it yourself or look up the solution on Youtube. There's very little you can't do with a power washer, some duct tape, and a little hook and loop tape.

Getting them off is pretty simple, your going to have to cut about 30 hog rings out on each seat and buy new ones when you reinstall.

Its a learning experience but with a little bit of patience you can knock it out.

If the seats are that bad then the carpet is probably worse. Sounds like your only option is just leave the seats inside and just pressure wash the shit out of the cab, in that Arizona heat and low humidity should be dry allmost instantly!

I will buy a set on Amazon, I kind of suck at detail stuff but hopefully they will come out alright. My mom is super good with sewing and said once I have them off it would be easy for her to make a template for making covers. I was un the impression from the link I found it was like 12 hog rings but whatever. Do you know if I can swap covers and put the drivers side on the passengers side, they look the same other than maybe a hole for the lumbar.

That's a horrible idea! As I said, I'm not worried about the drying or mold but I am worried about the electronics and there are a lot of those in the car which could get damaged with your idea. I could take the carpet out and power wash it but that would be a huge job! Plus, I already cleaned the carpet.

What about using laundry detergent in an upholstry/carpet cleaner instead of conventional cleaning chemicals?

Do you or a buddy have a bass boat or ski boat?
If so, take the seats out and tie them to a ski rope and pull them behind the boat for at least 20 minutes, also let them sink periodically.. After, throw them in the back of your buddy's truck and pressure wash and vacuum them on the way home.. Then air dry in sun for one week.. Good as new.
    Video and post here.

Step 1: Line truck bed with tarp

Step 2: pour economy size bottle of laundry detergent into truck bed. Use Gain, it's got Febreze. Tide has Downy, that works too. Just go full banana sandwich with it.

Step 3: fill truck bed with water. Do this around 10 A.M. in your 100 degree weather, and wait a few hours so the water is warm. Warm cycles work best.

Step 4: put seats in truck bed.

Step 5: CAREFULLY (since your seats are out) drive the truck ERRATICALLY to simulate a spin cycle/agitator in the wash

Step 6: drain bed. Refill with water.

Step 7: Repeat step 5, to simulate a rinse cycle. Then repeats step 6 and 7 again, two rinses is best.

Step 8: Leave in truck bed to dry.

Step 9: Enjoy your new, fresh, Febreze'd seats!

Or, you know, remove the covers and/or steam clean. I'd do the steam method.

Water evaporates great in Tucson. I lived there eight years. Lived in Phx about 15 years.

However, foam does not dry like pavement.

Good luck cleaning nasty fabric and foam without some kind of detergent/solvent.
