That's just slightly more intense than the 999-yard stare.

Hit a major doggie milestone yesterday on our morning walk. He lifted his leg for the first time

I remember when my young guy did that too. Proud as hell of him LOL. Brought him home in January 2 years ago and was usually in the teens below zero. His on command word to go is "Hurry Up!". Can't blame him for not wanting to expose his thang anymore than he had to in those temps.

One of the best things you can do is "go pee" or whatever. When we're road tripping or it's raining, that's all it takes.

I will sometimes sit on the couch and when Riley is staring me down; ask "pee pee" or "poo poo" just to watch him cock his head one way or another. Either way, he knows if you ask and he walks to the door, he'll get out.

There is one that goes my local dog park. He's a crowd favorite and such an awesome pup. He's not jacked though. Pit face and shoulders, the rest is all dachshund.

That's funny. I just came in the house with my girl cause I needed her to "go pee" and "go potty" because a big storm is headed our way. And yes, she knows both commands too.

That dog looks like he'd bad sad that nihilists took his rug because "it, like, tied the whole room together, man."

Lost our little hero Nero yesterday. We took him in as a rescue at 12 years old thinking he only had a few months. He made it to the ripe old age of 15, just so determined to make up for the life he never got the chance to have before us. I honestly think it was overwhelming for him at first to be included in everything we did, and to be showered with affection on a daily basis. He adapted quickly though, and there was never a dog who loved hugs more than him. That's the cruelty of age and time though. You can only hold them at bay for so long.

I miss you my old guy. I'm so sorry you didn't have a better life, but I hope you enjoyed your last ones with us, and knew how truly loved and valued you were and are. Till next we meet, so long our friend.

    Love Dave and Kat

I'm sorry Dave. It's hard for sure. You guys did a couple of awesome things....1 you rescued, I'm a big fan of that myself. And 2...you decided on an older dog . Those most often get over looked. I bet for sure that he gave you a few more years because of the love , affection, and attention he got. It sounds like you gave him a great home and environment for him to thrive. Hopefully you can rest a little easier knowing that. ....

Sorry to hear. But glad that your had the strength to adopt a senior dog, and love him as much as you did. I am sure he is grateful for his time with you. Better to have a good few years with good humans than to never have experienced love and kindness. Bless you both.
