Maybe I do. Everything shock wise I've done through DSMS. They haven't steered me wrong yet. Plus if I tell them to eat a dick, cool stuff happens apparently. Can you say the same about your shock guy?

Not really. It's my money...if I choose to spend it at a shop I've bought all my shocks from to date, that's my perogative. No need to fight about it lol. Even though @Downsouth Motorsports is the best shock place there is, but that's neither here nor there.

 

why not just get the parts and rebuild them yourself? take like a day if that to do them

 

Because I have enough projects as it is I'm not doing, that would just be one more thing to sit on the shelf. Plus I've never touched any of that before, would rather a professional revalve and rebuild my shocks

 

its actually surprisingly simple. i just followed the filthy motorsports write up on it and it was a cake walk. my bypasses were hydro locked from the last dude so i go a nice explosion out of the bypass tube but the front coilovers only took me 2 hours to rebuild. mine as well do it yourself so you know it and get a better understanding. but each to their own also

 

Honestly it's my plan to have a bench set up in my garage at some point for rebuilds with a wall mounted coil compressor, but the garage is currently a mess. I need to spend a weekend throwing crap out and cleaning up. Probably will be another year or two before I get it how I want it.

I dealt with those for a while or almost a year, just cleared the corner of the bench where the vise was and made a make-shift table top out of the welder. Took me maybe 2 hours tops for the rebuild.

What in the actual fudge... from the new 4wd toyota owner mag. Apparently there has been a shift in the universe that now allows you to adjust toe and camber while drooped out...

 

Can toe be set while the tires are off and not at ride height?

 

Yes the tires can be off but you should be at ride height...hence the resting on LCA's part

 

Okay, that's what I thought. I can't see that picture evenflow posted too good and thought the truck was just on jackstands with the suspension drooped out.

 

I..fail to see the point of that tool.
