thanks.... i'm sure it was..., removing the bumper cover and fender flare is a pain in ass for sure.... one more question... how did you make your decision on a winch.... that warn you bought is very expensive for a 9,000 lb winch.

Most people go with a 10k winch for Tacoma, but in my opinion the mine is fine. There are calculators out there that can figure out what size winch youll need, but you'll need to know the weight of your truck.

If you use tools, snatch blocks, etc you can easily increase the efficiency of your winch.

Also the winch I went with has either a remote or cordless option. Newer technology cost more.

How do they feel/ ride. They are a good 10 pounds heavier per tire. Does it make the truck feel more sluggish!?

So to frame the answer, let me start by saying I negotiated the swap with the dealer so that when the truck was delivered, they were switched and I only paid the cost difference for 5 tires - so I've never driven this particular vehicle with the Goodyear tires. I have driven my brothers 17 Limited with the Michelins. Comparing the two: the KO2s do have more road noise, but for anyone who has ever had KOs or KO2s, my opinion and what I think they would say is that it is minimal and not a factor. I've had MTs on a Jeep and there is a large jump in noise from the AT to the MT. I don't notice a difference in power or sluggishness from brothers Limited to my Pro.

My son does have a 2014 FJ which came with Bridgestone Duelers, had those for 1 year before he switched to the KO2s (17 inch rims). Again, minimal road noise change but what was noticeable was a perceived improvement in cornering ability at regular speeds (around town). While a different vehicle with different characteristics, it certainly did not feel like the change in tires added sluggishness.

That said, on the Tacoma, I may be one of the few folks on this forum who don't have an issue with the engine/power. Suits my needs just fine as I cruise around living my pedestrian life.

I too love the truck and for me it's plenty fast when I need it to be. I'm just trying to be cautious. I had ko's on my 4Runner before and loved them and was considering them for my taco. I was going to go with stock size but I saw the difference in weight and became a little hesitant because I didn't want my truck to start feeling sluggish.

What's the weight of the stock Wranglers? I was planning on switching to stock size Cooper AT3s later on but I'm hesitant to do so if they weight a crap ton more and drop MUH MPGZZZ.

No need to be concerned at all, I have information from a credible source who heard from a another credible source that each KO2 you put on the Pro adds 7.5 HP to compensate for the weight increase.

Smh! How sluggish does your truck feel with a 5 year old in it?

I had these on the iPad... bottom is picking it up at the dealer (stock tires piled behind the front) and top is when I got her home.
