There are recovery point holes down by the frame mounts, they just don't have the d-rings in so they're hard to spot.

CBI makes solid stuff, and their customer service in my experience has been very good. Love my sliders and rear bumper from them.

Its looks like the recovery points are still in the same spot, just sucked back into the frame more. I almost got that hybrid bumper when I ordered mine but at the last minute changed my mine.

I like that a lot. More ideas on how to finish my bumper.

I was dead set on the CBI Moab until I became of aware of the recovery point placements. Can't they just move them?

    Workin' on it....
What's the issue with the recovery points in that location? Just too low and poorly accessible if stuck in mud?

I think the story is that @utroda took his Moab bumper to Moab and any steep approach angle resulted it hitting the recovery points on the rocks before any other part of the bumper. I'm sure he will chime in with the deets.

Look like the Moab and Hybrid shackle points are in two different spots.

I could definitely see the Moab recovery points hitting things, as they're the furthest part out. From what I've seen, this is typical of most plate bumpers, with the variation being if they're in-line with the frame (less leverage, more strength) or slightly above (better approach clearance).

But on the Hybrid they appear to be much further back, mounted right on the frame attachments.

Yes this is true. Coming up to any ledge at pretty much any reasonable angle, those would hit.

My bumper has them up higher which don't hit. Yes they stick out but up high enough to not affect anything.

correctamundo... it wasn't to bad, just annoying after a while having to turn in all the time. Took some pictures and notes and set it to the owner of @CBI Offroad Fab and their designer. Hoping they make some upgrades down the road. Now the areas that the pc came off are start to rust but what can ya do.

Yep, same as my Relentless bumper. They're on the upper winch plate versus the lower skid/radiator plate. Better for approach clearance, but higher torque/leverage on structure and mounting hardware.

Also, I finally bought an SWR tester (w/ 3' jumper) to optimize my CB. Are there any local wide-open field areas with little to no trees, buildings, power poles, etc? All the places I wander around are deep in the woods.

Once I get it tested and set, I can send it off to anyone who needs to do the same. I know a bunch of us use CB's in the PNW, so it could be handy to pass this around. I know there's a SWR exchange going on in the CB forum, but it looks convoluted and nationwide, so you'd be waiting awhile, if it ever makes it your way.

I'm ordering new brake lines. If I plan to get Dakars or Deaver's at some point in the future, should I order 2" extended or 4" extended rear lines?
