Hey guys sekking a little guidance on which lift to purchase for my 2015 trd sport dclb 4x4. I want to either go with the icon stage 3 or the ome lift with heavy coils and dakars. I know people rave about both of them so any advice would be great. Im definitely on road more than offroad but need something that will be trail capable. I plan on adding a front bumper and winch and full armour.... still debating on steel vs. aluminum. Also id like to keep the 17 inch factory wheel on a 285/70/17. Will I need wheel spacers for this, am I going to need to do the body chop? Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks.

OME BP-51, JBA UCA, SOS Streamline Bumper, SOS Sliders, Toyo AT2 tires, many more.
Personally I decided on the OME kit (except with the 885 springs up front). Not sure what you gotta do besides chopping to fit the tires in. It almost seems like everyone will tell you something different, or at least I couldn't find any solid info on what to do when I was looking at tires. The OME kit is just a tried and true method if you ask me. I have several friends who went that route and it didn't fail them and when I rode in the truck, it rode great as well as handled well. I can't find a reason to not go with OME, unless Icon is offering something awesome that OME doesn't. Subbed cause I wanna hear more about what you decide!

Skip the Icons, they have some issues with their design that they need to correct IMO and their customer service is questionable based on some threads I've seen here.

If you want a coilover look at Fox or King...if you just want a shock/spring go with OME or Bilsteins.

I have the icons w/ reservoirs and 700lbs springs. They'd definitely be too stiff if I didn't also have full armor and a winch... but with all that they are real comfy.

They cost $1200 for just the front though...

I run OME Dakars in the back

I haz OME with 886 on my DCLB.

    Go King/Fox/ADS.

Wish I spent more the first time.

Your stock wheels wont work without spacers for 285's, they will rub the UCA. If you got 2.5"+ lift you will need new UCA anyway. Seems the tried and true 5100 and OME coils are the best all around unless you wanna go all out and do long travel. Give Marie a call at headstrong and she will hook you up.

I've been buying bits and pieces of my lift over the past couple years and have been doing research throughout that time. Looks like OME is the most cost effective route to go.
Something to consider is the limited amount of travel you'll get from the OME front shocks. Even the Bilstein 5100's provide more travel than the OME 90021. Personally, I'm just going for a 2" lift so I'm not too worried about the limitation but it seems like guys that go for 3" have problems with bottoming out.

Having said all that, I'm just a dude sitting fat, stock, and happy so I have zero real-world experience. All I know is what I've read here and on vendor websites.

    Good luck with your lift!

Does anyone know why there is a disclaimer on the ome lifts for the rear of the 2015's? They say there is some fitment issues...

The 2015 model year Toyota got lazy on quality control and suddenly began mishaping the rear shock mount. So the OME shock only fits if you use a metal grinder to trim the shock mount.

So im guessing you used a grinder to fit your rear shocks?

Now is a great time to really define what you want to do to the truck. Now and in the future. If 99% of the time you are on the road, I would suggest Bilstein 5100 f&b with some OME springs up front. The rest is overkill and a waste of money for on road use. Now, if it's for the cool factor of saying you have "???" suspension...... then I'd say King or ADS. They are all trail capable. Will you feel the difference between a 2-3k suspension and 500-600 Bilstein setup.... sure you will but look at what you could do with all the extra money. I put 100k miles on my Bilsteins and absolutely loved them. Now I have different intentions for the truck and have a ADS setup. It's up to you but my two cents is don't waist your money if you don't need to. Hope this helps.

In my opinion that is a better kit but you could save some money and go with the stage 2 (not sure remote reservoir coilovers are necessary on a vehicle that spends most its life on the road). Call or PM Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and she'll set you up with the best lift for your budget and intended use.

I had to grind my 13' down so the shock stopped hitting the mount to.
