Not starting a shit storm. I was joking as well. But the irony is the fact that nobody is allowed to start a shit storm regarding third gens. This thread begs a shit storm though. I was in the same place w/ my cherokee and don't ever want to re live that. I sympathize with anyone having issues w/ their new truck.

Unrelated...ish: when my fiancee was driving a Chevy Spark, we had some major issue that was covered by warranty (best $1k I ever spent on a used car, as the warranty work would have totaled over 3k, even more including the rental). Chevy gave us a Buick Lacrosse I think, or one of their other 4 door cars. It was honestly the nicest GM vehicle I had ever driven. All leather, remote start, sunroof etc. She loved having that for a month, only complaint was the gas mileage (Spark got 45 MPG, Buick got something like 25. For a 75 mile round trip 5 days a week, it added up fast).

That's exactly it... just having fun with a bad situation. This forum is loaded with picture threads for every color/trim level of Tacoma. With a number of people alreadyhaving their trucks confiscated, I thought it would be fun to see real (or fake) pics of what people will be driving until Toyota provides a fix. My truck is on the recall list, but I checked and it doesn't appear to be leaking. So I'm not bringing my truck in yet... at least not until they offer me this.

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.

I got a Corolla loaner when my actuator was being worked on last year...

One of the best little cars I've ever drove...

Sunroof, heated seats, faux leather, push button start just to name a few...

Most important is that it was fun to drive and handled great...

Oh yeah and great gas mileage...I'd take another one for a loaner in a heartbeat.

I heard they let the recall info out early so our friends to the north could get some usage out of their loaners.

Was yours a new 17? I just bought mine last Friday and I don't think mine is listed. I typed the VIN on the Toyota website. Thats where I should be checking right? Mine has a manufacture date of March 17

When I get any work done, my dealer comes to my shop and swaps me his truck for the day. He drives a 2016 quicksand dclb auto.

Also added my seat belt pads off my 2014 camry SE sport because I was feeling sorry for myself and wanted the camry to look cooler. Lets start a What have you done to your rental car today? thread, hahah
