    not having seen the enigne compartment on a 1st gen...I'd say about 40 minutes excluding time for wires.

    are your plugs gapped already?

    BUILT, not bought...
    When I used to do my 97 gmc, it took me about 45 minutes excluding the time to replace wires which only took another 5 minutes.


    edit - Chris showed me how to do my Taco, only took him 20 minutes.

    They come gapped from Toyota. As you have never seen the engine bay of a first gen, you will understand if I ignore your estimate.

    seriously tho if anyone ever tries to talk yall into helping change the spark plugs on their escape...say NO...

    3 of the 6 of them are hidden UNDER the engine cover/manifold...which every wire and hose is attached to

    we spent approx 4 hours today undoing and never did get those last 3 plugs changed...

    its going to the mechanic next week for it
