Not sure if crashnburn80 has these lugnuts but they are specifically made for those rims: Part # PTR27-89100

I know Toyota sells TRD lugnuts for the Tacoma but for those rims you definitely have to have those long spline lugnuts or they won't bolt up correctly.

My 2yr old decided to go for an unplanned swim in a pool today at a birthday party, requiring immediate rescue. After getting home and finally drying off after spending the evening soaking wet in full professional attire, I have zero desire to go out and check the lugs. I'll check them tomorrow.

I pulled mine off and measured the stud depth protruding through the wheel with the depth base of my digital calipers. It is admittedly very difficult to judge visually with how deep the holes are. I had 13.5mm of stud exposed through the wheel, just over half inch. Counting lug rotations I had 7.5 complete rotations before stopping.

I should have measured the depth of the lug when it was off to see if 1/2" longer studs would fit.

Have you had a chance to check you wheels out? How much are the lug nuts biting the factory studs?

I saw your reply just now. Thanks.

Is this enough. I am going to check mine tomorrow and see if the longer studs would work, as this would make me feel better as well.

    Thanks,

Toyota lists the wheel as suitable for the Tacoma with the required lugs with no mention of having to swap studs. I'm sure it is safe though admittedly I'd like a little more depth. Let me know on the longer studs.

I really want to get these wheels, but I can't seem to figure out if they will actually fit on my truck. I have stoptech calipers that stick out around an inch past the hub's mounting surface, so not all wheels will fit. Is there any chance you could give me a rough idea of either the distance between the wheel's mounting surface and the back of the wheel spokes?

Just went an measured, significant room. Over 2.5" from mounting surface to back of spoke. Over 1.75" from stock calibers to back of spoke.

Which 17" cast TRD wheel are you referring to? I'm basically looking to clone your setup and am curious on which wheel you are saying is lighter. @crashnburn80

I really want these rims (PTR45-35010) too, but I am having a problem purchasing them. It looks like Toyota is only selling them as replacements to what came out on your vin. Any suggestions?

Are you buying online or at your local dealer? It seams that happens sometimes at the dealer, but rarely online.
