Also whatchu talking about not enough torque it has twice the power strokes literally. That's why 2 stroke dirt bikes make more power with less cc

Yeah but to get the same torque you have to be at high rpms.

Why 4cy dirt bikes kinda got popular. More torque..less power for sure but better low end grunt. Better for lawn mower as it keeps the noise down a bit. Though, newer mowers suck. I love how you used to buy mowers based on HP. I had a self starter Yardman i think with 6.5hp! Actually really liked that mower, had it for years until my cousin lost(yes, lost it. long funny story) replaced it and the mower was 6 Ft/lb torque! All of the mowers were rated for torque suddenly  stupid. Way less powerful. hated them. Went through two and killed them both before getting the good ole Snapper with 8hp motor i think.. Sucker was a beast. Self propel belt broke but i was cheap and didn't bother to replace it. So i just pushed the 50lb beast everywhere hahahaha was a good workout!

Sta-Bil is the shit for sure. Always put it in the saw, weed whacker, and mower. The bike I start all winter so it doesn't really get special treatment. I don't even put premium in it, it's only 9.5:1 compression. Somehow all four carbs are even in sync still.

I'm with ya on the older mowers. I'm running an old Craftsman with a Briggs 6.5HP engine and it has been great. Also starts really easy and parts are easy to find online because it's a Briggs :)

Anyone have any leads on a nice mountain bike? Hoping the place i'll get put up in at Tippet will be within biking distance so i can ride to and from work every day.

I found this guy up here: https://wyoming.craigslist.org/bik/6097052495.html

Super nice bike. Bit pricey for my budget but its a steal considering the model it is.

Bit pricey for a 2008 nomad though... I see 2010-2012 Specialized StumpJumpers for around $800-$1000

I hate mulching. Looks bad and you have to mow every 4 days for it to not look bad. And it just makes your dirt base slowly get taller and taller.

But a bad bagging setup sucks. The Snapper's had the perfect one. Wish more did it like them.

Yeah i know. I wish there was more stuff for DH around here. Id LOVE to do it. He said it rides plush, which i am sure it does. But i'd want something more for an AM bike.

The Nomad seems a good AM bike. Plenty of travel so you could DH to an extent with it. Light enough for up hills..

Yeah I'm not a fan of going up hill. DH is way more fun haha. DH bikes are only good if you have a ride to the top or you want to push the bike all the way up hahah. The nomad should be good just a hefty price tag for the year...

@Blackdawg I've found a good place for looking at used bikes to be pinkbike.com ... its kinda the Tacoma World for mountain bikes and they have a great buy sell section... most of the Wyoming bikes will be in Jackson... but you can find some great deals: https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/
