I never buy something that just comes out. That includes Tacoma's, golf clubs, and Apple Iphones. I prefer to let
the company iron out the wrinkles before I spend my money. Plus stuff is always cheaper a few years after it
    comes out.

And we're here to help in anyway we can, this is a great community, full of very talented mofos.
But if you want to vent your frustration, some of us can deal with that too.

That's very good advice, I've always given it out myself too, but I haven't always followed my own on at least a couple occasions.

Shame on me, don't do as I say I do, do as you see I do

Man, if a guy with a 4 cylinder and M/T is lemoned, what hope do the rest of us have?

What issues are you having? Sorry if I have missed it.

2017 DCOR. Love most everything about it so far (3,000 miles). Have had the A-pillar rattle, but that was an easy fix with felt tape. Had the LCA wind noise, but that was an easy fix. It's been easy to make mods to personal taste. But, the one thing that I need Toyota to solve and fix is the howling rear diff. It's not loud at this point and not a big deal, but I know it's there. Who knows if it will get louder or wear prematurely? Not presently on the recall list and no obvious leak. I still have faith, but we'll see how it goes. At this point, I'd still recommend the truck.

I'd say check the diff fasteners for proper torque, and when the stock tires wear out, replace with some BFGoodrich and you'll have a 99% chance of the hollowing noise diapering.

In the mean time, enjoy your truck!

Don't regret it one bit. Every car has issues of some kind and hell thats what the warranty is for anyway. The thing to keep in mind with this site too is most people here are fanatics about our trucks and what some people may perceive to be a very minor issue is really blown out of proportion. Some people have had problems but that also goes for any other brand of car or truck you buy too. For me personally I haven't had any issues and love the truck.

Mods....Can we lock or get rid of threads like this? I swear, every time I want to read or see something good about the 3rd gen, we get stuff like this. Constant shitty same questions, same problems that is already posted.. At the top of the list every day.
    -Transmission.
-Gee I am having Second thoughts. What do you guys think?
-Does this truck seem slow or is it just me?
    - Yadda fucking yadda, yadda........

Then people respond with the same bullshit answers over and over again....

I really wanted to be able to live with the quirky behavior of the engine/transmission but after 15k miles I caved. I LOVED the truck. Went back to the Tundra. Maybe hold out a year or two:)

I'm guessing Cali is where you guys are all getting swindled into paying almost 40k? Paid 32 here in flyover land ;)

When I was shopping, a '14 or '15 with under 30k would have ran me about 28-31. Was a no-brainer

I love my taco! 19,000 miles and not a single hiccup. My only complaint is low power at low RPM. Other than that it's been a great pickup, I'd say give it another year or 2 and hopefully Toyota works out some issues other folks are having.

I love my truck! I'm having some of the seeping in rear diff. but it will be covered under warranty so I'm good. I'm planning on keeping this for a long time.
