    Exactly. I had to lower them to allow room for the tent platform. You shouldn't have to if you have a tall rack, but I actually like the way they look floating out over the bedside.

    Wow. Those are sweet! Looks like voodoo Chad is going to improve on your design to make universal bracket (hopefully you'll get a royalty lol). This is the beauty of supporting small shops. You can work with them to design more badass products. I would suggest that the bracket have a way to mount TREDs as well since they're almost just as popular as maxtrax (the mount in the middle though).
    I Need to put my ME degree to work and start designing my own parts too...

    These are the MaxTrax brackets that I whipped up this morning.

    They have a 2" standoff, and they are offset for tent platform clearance.

    I've also incorporated mounting holes for them in the side bars of our new rack, along with RotoPax mounting holes.

    Is this for the mid height rack to get kayake/ladder etc to be over the roof? I was going to order longer legs for the my mid rack, but might wait if this is what it's intended for. Just bought a kayak!

    That is exactly what's for. There will also be a shorter ladder extension for the tall rack.
