I'm planning on bringing chairs, easy-up, food and drinks. It's doubtful any recovery equipment would be needed however you should get used to always bringing your gear and tools with you

@JaCado I assume we're planning on taking a break at the top to hang out for a bit? I also assume there's a "top", never been up this trail before haha

Mike... where do they sell these passes? I got the pass for Idyllwild from the rangers office but I presume these are different?

WELCOME! Glad you're joining us! The more the merrier! This was also the first trail that popped my off-road cherry. :rofl:Since we are meeting at the Subway at the given address, my wife and I will be picking up sandwiches there and throwing them in our cooler. You could bring some chairs as well, we may throw a couple in the back. A grill is personal preference as there isn't exactly a 'pull off' spot or a 'top' considering that the trail goes all the way through and has an exit so there's no turn around point. Although I have a good idea of a halfway spot that could be good for everyone to post up at with enough space for all of us!

I have this mapped for Saturday
Trail to the right us ysabel trail. The one to the right is an extra that we can do also I think.
Here is a third on that more south east as well that runs a good distance along the ridgeline I think
The blue dot to the right is where we will be.

For the trail we have planned you should be okay. I haven't done any of the other trails although we do need to be cautious because there is a designated 4WD trail out there somewhere.
