I said they were crazy for allowing them to hold their vehicles over the issue when they still haven't even received thier recall notices, but any ways that's their problems now so they can deal with it any way they wish. for me I enjoy my truck every day and am glad that the little issues that occur doesn't effect my happiness with it, I have had the other Domestic trucks and they are far worse than anything ive seen coming with the 3rd GEN trucks.

    That, that right there :)

I'm was only saying that being concerned with life and limb (themselves, loved ones & others) and wanting it fixed ASAP doesn't mean they're crazy and that I understand them not wanting a repeat of events we've already seen (that fortunately didn't result in injury) from a known problem that could result in a failure.

I think we understand each other even if we see it differently.

I drove the truck again last night and checked it again this morning, no sign of concern. I may just scrub the 5k inspection. Anyone know if they can deny the Toyoter Care oil change interval if you don't follow the inspection intervals too?

I've had my truck in way off interval periods, and I haven't been turned away.

    I don't think they do.

My back up, a 2015 Camry, rarely gets driven & doesn't make 5k in 6 months so does NOT go in on schedule. They still do the oil when I take it in tho. That said it still expires at 24 months.

I'm surprised they don't know what to do. Per the articles I have seen regarding this. It suggest they should replace the part, or tighten the bolts.. guess we will see in june

Perhaps the problem is bigger than what is stated. My bolts are to spec, and I am leaking. Engineering problem???

I skipped one and they didn't kick and scream. They did send me a letter in the mail about skipping it. Just take it in for the sake of warranty.

Was your Vin in the recall list? Also, as I'm aware, there is no current fix.

My 22-R with a sticker price of just $10 K and 100% manufactured in Japan never leaked gear oil from the rear differential with over 200 K miles on it.

In 16 years I only replaced normal wear and tear components : 1 clutch,1 starter,1 A/C compressor, 1 head gasket and 1 radiator.

Quality control issues in their supply chain should be reviewed.

Cost down strategies need to be reviewed, as well, in the light of brand name damage potential.
