Might. Still not sure. My audit starts Monday and I have been EXTREMELY busy responding to a particularly nasty set of malware attacks. There's infected phishing coming from multiple sources, including one that looks like Google Docs. They're so bad we don't even play now - grab the computer, wipe it clean, change the user's credentials, block the sending address. It's part of a botnet so they just keep making new fake email addresses. Bad.

Don't open emails from people you don't know - these infections are full of FTP exfiltrators (steals all your files), keyloggers (watches what you type) and ransomware (encrypts your drive and tries to sell you the password to unencrypt it).

I think Capt and I can have a pretty good conversation on Technology but again I dont recognize myself as a millennial.

Crappy thing is with all technology jobs we put the fires out but the managers take the glory.

 

Also, I teach people about the cloud now but was a Linux Engineer for quite a while. I still get the occasional job offer to come back and fight the fires.

 

I would just refer them to the southpark episode that teaches people about "the cloud"
