Flying into Medford, but gonna be staying in Applegate and Williams for the most part.

Made a thread for our trip plans and to do lists, as well as plans for when I meet up with other members. I'm open to ideas about things to do and places to go.

Depends on terrain. Couple few miles thru the woods and over hills. Wide open spaces is heavily debated but 5 to 7 miles if you have a good tuning. Once I was heading east on 84 about to drop down the mountain in to Pendleton and talking to someone who said they were 15 miles north of there. That would have put it at.....a lot of miles. Granted, I was on top of the mountain and there was nothing between us but miles of air.

Not quite Bend, but I was out in Christmas Valley today. Got to watch jets dogfight and go supersonic when they left the area. Next time I need to set up a video camera to catch the maneuvers and flares.

Yeah, it hit the hood, roof, left fender and right rear door. So far I have counted 26 hits/dents. It really was golf ball sized hail.

Going to get some estimates to get the truck fixed. 25 years ago, JRs in Bend was the place to go and did great work. I had a Camry fixed at Mark's in Redmond 8 years ago and it seemed fine. Insurance agent says Precision in Redmond is who she uses. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it.

Auto body concepts on American lane in Bend did a great job on mine a few years ago, really good people to deal with.

There has been talk of a run and I'll let you know if it happens for Saturday. We have been super busy trying to finalize everything for the clean up on the 20th. We were back out there last night again.
Also there is a class out on by Brent Jenkins of COVHOPS (Forest Service) on Saturday. The class is on using Avenza Maps. If you guys haven't used the Avenza app with the Motor vehicle use maps you have to try it. There are tons of tricks to it that he is gonna teach on saturday

Anyone interested in a weekend trip to Steen's Mt? It's about 5 hours south east of us.
It's one of the oldest flows of the Columbia River Basalt Group, and near the first Yellowstone eruption.
It's also the highest road in Oregon at approx. 9,000 ft.

Also, I'm always down to explore China Hat if you want to check it out.

I'm not sure what work you need done, but I've had great luck with Wade Bryant in Bend. They have been open since 87 I think, local owned and the counter help is friendly.
