I was in the dealership last week and looked at the 2010 Tacoma. The only change was 2 rubber cupholder inserts instead of the adjustable divider. I ordered and bought 2 of them at get this.......$20.00 ea. But they are much nicer and more stable than the divider. FYI

I had an '08, now have a '10, I liked the '08's cup holders better. You could adjust for larger drinks.

Can you take a picture of them in the truck? I may be interested in picking some up.

If you put too big of a drink in the holder will come out when you go to drink.
Wish they fastened down some how. I can see someone not paying attention and throwing one out.

They're ok. I drink Pepsi a lot, I also dip tobacco. Therefore once I drink everything in the bottle, it becomes a spit bottle, and moves to the front cupholders.. If I'm not careful, I wind up pulling the whole cupholder out.. Kinda sucks to be honest.. But they're 100 times better than the ones in the Chrysler I was driving..

05-08 are way, way, way better imo. They "fixed" something that wasn't broke, and left all the broken shit... broken.

Also to note, there were a lot more changes to the 09-10 than just the cup holders...

If they are "way way way" better then they MUST be better because that's 3 times more than just plain way better lmao :D

They do have 3 positions more than the other ones... Actually more if you count being able to shift the entire unit left and right in 3 positions as well...

the adjustable ones suck on my 2009...if you go around a corner with a large drink like from taco bell or something it will just flip right out and the adjustable part doesn't hold strong enough

i always hold it with my hand when going around a sharp turn now :/

I am putting in velcro strips tomorrow. That will hold them. I had to go with these because the adjustabe one wasn't strong enough to hold a cup unless its a 44 oz or bigger. What other changes were made to the 2010?

Man, I've never had issues with drinks flying out... and I drive it like I did my g35 6mt...

Other changes include (but not limited to): traction control systems such as a-track and vsc, 'fake' LSD on all models, side air bags, completely and horribly re-designed access cab rear layout, back up camera on some models, ecu changes and transmission programing differences, and so forth. Also the weird darker grey grills that don't match anything. Oh and smoked headlights.

My '09 has all that except the smoked headlights and the rubber cupholders. It took me a while to find the rear speakers. They are in the head liner.
I am on the fence on which cup holders are better. I only allow others and myself to drink water my vehicles. Water bottles seem to be fine in the older adjustable type.

For those who want the older cup holder pull the rubber one that you have in now then go to the dealer and get the adjustable divider. All it is is an insert.

Yea that would be awesome to have in my '10 =\. The one next to the center console storage can't hold a gatorade bottle, moderately sized water bottle, etc. The rubber ones are only a little bit bigger. Out of the 10 (don't know exact number) cup holders in the truck.. the most important ones don't hold anything big.

I took the rubber ones out and tossed them in the "Useless OEM Crap" box in the garage. Two foam can coozies ft perfectly.
