Oshie did it to him in last year's series, almost exactly. And got the call. Just throwing that out there. I don't like when players sell calls either but it happens both ways. And also, the refs missed the call when Jake G got high-sticked and his mouth was split open. Should've been 4mins, so even out IMO.

 

Yeah, he threw his head back like a sniper took him out but the stick didn't make contact.

I guess I cant really fault him for trying. Maybe it did graze his beard and he pulled back instinctively. idk

 

He sold it. He cupped his mouth. But I don't feel bad because of the non-call to a bleeding Guentzal from a high stick. And Oshie got away with one on us last year, in the playoffs.

People can complain if they want, but Caps didn't play good enough to win, that is all there is to it. No excuses. Play better.

 

My only problem with the penalty at that time in the game is, it took the excitement out of the last two minutes of the game.

 

Absolutely. At that point, the push was over, for the Caps. It's always cool to see that final couple minutes when it is a frantic push.

 

Most broadcasters kept mentioning regarding the Ducks-Oilers series how the series is basically back to 0-0 best out of 3. However, I cant help but feel Edmonton is on their heels.

 

Blowing that lead last night has to be crushing to Edmonton. Plus the Perry goal, yeah mentally I don't think Edmonton feels great today.

 

They aren't showing an overhead replay. I was only able to watch the first period then headed home from work.

 

I agree now, just because Anaheim responded how they did. They are a deeper, better team, in my opinion. Oilers sorta took it to them there, however. But the Ducks response is likely the turning point. We will see. It's an exciting series, for sure. I'm cheering for the Ducks because of our hometown guy (Gibson).

 

Yes sorry it was Getzlaf but it was only a goal due to Perry making skate to skate contact with Talbot. They got the call right since Perry was only there because he was bumped by the D and the initial skate to skate contact that handcuffed Talbot was outside of the crease. Oh, and Perry shaking his ass in front of the net in general lol

 

If Crosby would start shooting more instead of passing we'd be doing better I feel. He needs to get selfish and shoot like Getslaf has in the playoffs. I agree Oilers are on the ropes and need a big game tomorrow!

Zaitsev signs with the Leafs, 7 years at 4.5 million cap hit a year. With the current cost of D I think that's fair, potentially a steal if he continues to adjust to the NHL.
