Any old receiver ball will work just fine. No reason not to get the d- ring too. It's takes up very little storage space.

I need to get the jumper cables, I have them in my other cars. I didn't worry about it because the truck was new, but now that I've had it over 2 years you just never know when a battery will take a big fat poo.

Tow ball/receiver will depend on the trailer - you want to select one with the right drop/rise to keep the load level. They're pretty cheap.

I keep one of the d-ring hitches in the bed cubby I can swap out when I drop the trailer at camp.

I agree with all the whiskey talk. I would say having a road atlas book with large maps could come in handy too

Every time my buddies and I went out to the desert we brought a full tank of gas and a gallon of water for each person.

We were glad to have it when we got lost in the desert at night :goingcrazy:
