My Grandpa joined the Navy right out of High School in 1942, and served as a Frogman (Now commonly known as a Navy SEAL) in WWII. When the war ended in 1945 and he was honorably discharged, the government had a shit-ton of these for sale. He bought a brand new Willys Jeep for $400 and it was the family car for almost a decade!

I'm 5'11" and about 244 pounds. I've dropped almost 20 pounds since February. I plan to get down to like 220. However, I'm naturally big. Even if eventually become the next Warren Buffet, no amount of money can make me just the right size to fit comfortably behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Countach.

I do, however, fit very comfortably behind the wheel of a Porsche 959...

I bet you'd fit pretty comfortably in that '48 Ford, too. :notsure:

These pictures were taken at the Philadelphia International Auto Show in January 2012, and they are special because the 959 was not technically "open to the public." I struck up a conversation with this guy who was friends with the owner and there to answer questions about the cars, and he lifted the velvet rope and let me have a photo op. I walked away with an awesome new profile picture for Facebook AND two free tickets to the 2012 New Hope Auto Show!

In my opinion, the 1956 DeSoto Adventurer is one of the most beautiful cars of its decade (these photos are also from the 2012 Philly Auto Show):
